Features digitally remastered edition of the album, plus a CD of monitor mixes, the CD debut of the album’s Wagging Tongue Edition (a 1989 vinyl exclusive featuring Coverdale interviews about every song), a CD of demos, remixes and re-records, a CD of unissued session tapes, interludes and jams and a DVD (as well as a CD) of the band’s 1990 Donington concert. This set boasts a 60-page hardbound book packed with rare memorabilia from the era. A couple years back, Whitesnake’s 1987 eponymous smash received the lavish 30th-anniversary treatment. Now, 1989’s Slip of the Tongue get the same royal reception, as it should; after all, this was their third straight platinum seller, thanks to two Top 40 hits (“Fool for Your Loving” and “The Deeper the Love”) that propelled the album into the U.S. and UK Top 10.
